Dummy Security Cameras: what you should know
Dummy Security Cameras are cameras that look like real security cameras but are not. They may even have a blinking red LED light. They are useful for deterring criminals; they don’t know they are fake! They are much cheaper than installing a fully functioning security system.
However, they don’t do anything. If a criminal is brazen enough, or smart enough to tell the difference, and they break in anyway, then no footage will be recorded. Many business and home homeowners choose to use these in addition to existing working systems. In essence, they use them “to beef up” their real security system.
